The Foglia Library's Stained Glass Windows
Two stained glass windows are installed in the Foglia Library. Both windows are scenes from the Glorious Mysteries of the Rosary. The window toward the south depicts scenes from Jesus’ life. The small scene at the bottom of the window is The Transfiguration of Jesus. The larger scene at the top of the window is The Ascension of Jesus into Heaven. The window toward the north depicts scenes regarding Mary. The small scene at the bottom of the window is The Woman of the Apocalypse. The larger scene at the top of the window is The Coronation of Mary as Queen of Heaven and Earth with the Holy Trinity crowning her.
These two stained glass windows are part of a lot that St. Ignatius received from a Polish parish that closed in Lorraine, Ohio. Other windows in the lot can be found in the 5th Floor Chapel. |
